SENIOR TEAM.

Reece Donnelly

FOUNDER AND PRINCIPAL

Reece Donnelly, has been in the industry since the age of 6 securing a TV role with CBBC, it has been a constant journey since then working professionally on projects like:

Carrie & Davids Popshop (CBBC), Waterloo Road (BBC), Citizens Theatre, Pavilion Theatre, Happy Days UK Tour (Scottish Leg), T-Mobile (Commercial) – Reece also has a background as a voice over artist for clients such as NHS & Nickelodeon.

In addition, Reece’s work as an actor has seen him do various community drama projects with the organisations such as Barlinne Prison in partnership with The Citizens Theatre and Kibble Secure Centre in partnership with West College Scotland.

Reece obtained a BA(Hons) in Drama from the University of Sunderland – he was awarded the James McAvoy scholarship at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2014 . However, the passion for Reece was in teaching, directing and growing new talent in Scotland.

His commitment to training and teaching performing skills to kids is outstanding. The balance between professional training and having fun is something which is mastered completely at Theatre School of Scotland.

Furthermore, Reece is also a successful director and senior talent agent of sister company KR Management. In recent years Reece has taken students and clients from acting beginners to landing lead roles on BBC, CBBC and Netflix and many more.

Charlotte Forbes

Deputy Principal & SQA Coordinator

Charlotte has been a professional performer and educator for over 10 years. She holds a BA (hons) Degree in Theatre from Guildford School of Acting, a Post Graduate Diploma in Musical Theatre from the Royal Academy of Music and is also a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music specialising in teaching musical theatre voice.

Charlotte’s performance credits include multiple contracts nationally and internationally, including London’s West End. Alongside her performing career, Charlotte has always had a passion for teaching. Between touring and performing she has often taken on teaching within stage schools, one-to-one private tuition, and guest lecturing for performing arts colleges. Additionally, she is experienced in choreographing, and directing full scale concerts and musicals.

Charlotte has travelled and taught all over the world including Dubai where she lived for two years and launched the first BTEC in Performing Arts within the region.

ACTING FACULTY.

Karena Quaile

Senior Coach Edinburgh

Karena studied Musical Theatre at Itali Conti in London and continued her studies at Glasgow
Academy of Musical Theatre. Upon graduating Karena launched a successful career as a professional performer with credits including BBC Waterloo Road, Evita and Into The Woods. Karena is highly skilled in all aspects of Musical Theatre having studied all genres of dance from an early age at the Dance School of Scotland as well as mastering skills in acting and singing in her further education.

Karena has a true passion for the performing arts, which is evident in her energetic and nurturing teaching style and is dedicated to inspiring the future generation of performing artists.

Kyle Murphy

Acting Lecturer (Glasgow)

Kyle Murphy is a dedicated and emerging educator in the performing arts, recently graduating with a Postgraduate Diploma in TQFE from the University of Stirling. With a BA (Hons) in Acting for Stage & Screen from Edinburgh Napier/Queen Margaret University, Kyle brings a strong foundation in performance alongside real-world industry experience.

He has taught acting across college and university levels, including placements and workshops at Glasgow Kelvin College, and contributed to community outreach projects through organisations such as Leaders Unlocked. Kyle’s professional acting work spans theatre, television, voiceover, and immersive performance, notably with The Edinburgh Dungeon.

Passionate about nurturing confidence, life skills, and creativity in young people, Kyle is committed to empowering the next generation of performers through inclusive and engaging teaching.

Kya Beth Reid

Acting Teacher (Glasgow)

Kya Beth Reid is a passionate Scottish actor, performer and facilitator, trained in Acting & Performance at Glasgow Clyde College before completing her BA Hons in Creative Enterprise at New College Lanarkshire. Her stage credits include Young Mother Courage in Mother Courage and Her Children (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), Mary Warren in The Crucible, and multiple roles in Love and Information.

Eleanor Kane

Acting and Musical Theatre Teacher

Eleanor is an Actor Musician, Songwriter and Horticulturalist from Glasgow. She gained a BA Hons from Rose Bruford College studying Actor Musicianship. Eleanor has just finished the UK/International Tour of Olivier Award winning show, “Pride and Prejudice* (Sort Of)”. Theatre credits include; Medium Alison in Fun Home (The Young Vic) A Monster Calls (Rose Theatre Kingston, Bristol Old Vic and The Kennedy Centre Washington DC), Hex (The National Theatre), Just So (The Watermill Theatre), The Duchess (of Malfi) (Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh, Citizens Theatre Glasgow), High Fidelity (The Turbine Theatre), Billionaire Boy (Nuffield Southampton Theatre). TV Credits include Department Q (Netflix).

Eleanor is so excited to be joining the Theatre School of Scotland team as Site Co-Ordinator and Acting/Singing Coach for the Edinburgh Campus, and looks forward to bringing her industry experience to nurture and inspire students.

Jenny Douglas

Singing Coach

Jenny has been working professionally in the performaning arts world since the age of eighteen with her appearance on the BBC/ Andrew Lloyd Webbers “Over The Rainbow” she has toured the internationally with the musical “We Will Rock You” and recently appeared in her first feature film “The Lost King”

Alongside her career Jenny has taught with esteemed vocal and acting tutors in Scotland. Jennys’ ethos for educating young people who are pursuing the performing arts comes from her passion of creating and devising theatre which motivates, inspires and excites young performers.

Jenny studied her masters degree in Musical Theatre at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is thrilled to be teaching the talented students of the Theatre School of Scotland

Robyn Gilbertson

Singing Coach

Robyn Gilbertson is a dedicated and passionate performer and teacher who graduated from the Theatre College of Scotland. She has been an integral part of the Theatre School of Scotland for the past six years, bringing creativity, energy, and commitment to everything she does.

Robyn has a bright future ahead, with her talents continuing to shine both on stage and in the classroom. Her love for the performing arts is evident in her work, and she remains a valued member of the TSOS team as she grows in both her teaching and professional performance career.

Emi Hall

Singing Teacher

Emi Charlotte is an accomplished Musical Director and Vocal Teacher with a BA in Teaching of Musical Theatre and an MA in Musical Direction from Leeds Conservatoire. She began assisting in theatre schools in 2016 and has been teaching freelance ever since. Emi has worked on a multitude of shows both on stage and in the pit including Phantom of the Opera, Mary Poppins, The Secret Garden, and Carrie. Her greatest passion though has always been with teaching and inspiring the next generation of performers.

Darren Webster

Vocal Coach

Darren is a Glasgow based Musical Director, Arranger and Typesetter. Darren graduated from the University of the West of Scotland with a BA in Musical Theatre. As a specialist vocal coach Darren has an in depth understanding of the vocal instrument having studied Estill level 1 and 2. Darren is also a qualified Vocal Health First Aider.

As well as his formal qualifications, Darren has a wealth of experience working in the musical theatre industry as a Teacher, Musical Director and arranger. Darren has worked on a broad range of shows including professional productions, college productions and amateur theatre.

Ross Russell

Dance Lecturer

Ross Russell is an accomplished performer, choreographer, and educator, holding a BA (Hons) Degree in Musical Theatre from Arts Education Schools London. His professional career spans West End productions, UK and international tours, cruise ships, TV and film, with credits including Mamma Mia!, Kiss Me, Kate, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Alongside performing, Ross has held a range of leadership and creative roles within the performing arts and education sector, allowing him to bring strong creative direction, professional standards, and current industry insight into his teaching and collaborative work.

MANAGEMENT TEAM.

Harvey Perrie

Marketing Executive

Harvey has worked in marketing for over 9 years, after specialising in digital marketing from a young age – and has expanded his career to videography, photography, and social. Over this time, he has worked in several industries ranging from travel, gaming, attractions & tourism, and education.

A keen passion for the arts and cinema, Harvey has featured as an actor in several short and feature films that have toured festivals around the world. Behind the camera, Harvey has also worked on 9 short films of his own, and founded and co-programmed 2 film festivals (New Lanark Film Festival, Scotia Film Festival) that celebrate emerging Scottish talent. As part of this, Harvey worked with the Bill Douglas Cinema Museum, the largest cinema museum in the UK, to programme a new collection of Scottish director Bill Douglas’ previously unseen short films.

Caitlin O’Sullivan

Greenock Site Coordinator

Caitlin graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Arts Degree and has participated in numerous competitions and stage productions. She has always been deeply passionate about Musical Theatre. From a young age, she has developed her skills through a wide range of singing, acting, and song writing classes, building a strong and versatile foundation in the performing arts. Caitlin’s talent and dedication have been recognised through several accolades, including being named West of Scotland Young Musician of the Year and being awarded in one of UK’s largest singing competitions. Caitlin is deeply committed to sharing her knowledge and experience, inspiring students to build confidence, ignite their passion for learning, and reach their full potential in the arts.

Kyle Scanlon

General Manager

Kyle trained as a theatre student at Interlochen Arts Academy before going on to earn a BFA in Musical Theatre from Syracuse University. As a performer, Kyle has worked across regional, touring, and pre-Broadway productions, and spent 8 years as a Production Vocalist with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. Alongside Kyle’s performing career, he brings extensive experience in leadership, administration, and customer operations. He has worked internationally as an Office & Entertainment Administrator, held management roles with lululemon, and supported large-scale customer operations at Monzo. These experiences shaped his people-first approach to leadership and reinforced the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels supported and valued.Kyle is delighted to be the General Manager of the Theatre School of Scotland, where he’s able to bring together his passion for the performing arts with his leadership and organisational expertise to help create a positive, supportive environment for students, families, and staff alike. Kyle is always happy to answer any questions and looks forward to getting to know everyone throughout their time at TSOS.

Katie Rutherford

TALENT AGENT

Katie is the company manager of KR Management, a sister company to Theatre School of Scotland. Reece and herself work constantly together to ensure kids are being represented fairly and being seen by casting directors throughout the UK and internationally.

Katie has trained in both Drama and Dance from a young age, as a teenager she trained at some of Scotland’s top institutions including RCS and then went onto achieve her BA Hons Drama and Dance from the University of Cumbria. Katie has experience throughout the industry as a young performer and has just recently finished her first Professional Musical Theatre Tour with a Scottish Production company as a 2017 Graduate.

Katie is extremely passionate about Scottish Children being opened to bigger opportunities in the industry, she is thrilled that KR Management and Theatre School of Scotland have joined to create a strong platform for the children we represent and coach.
